FSNA’s 2023 Oktoberfest will be held Sunday October 22nd 3-5pm at Fry’s Spring Beach Club, 2512 Jefferson Park Avenue. We will have the usual fun for kids: Charlottesville Fire Department Fire Trucks, Police cars, face painting, and more. There will be free food from local restaurants for neighborhood residents. We encourage all neighbors to join the organization, but it is not required: $5/ individual/year or $10/family. Dues help cover costs associated with Oktoberfest and running our organization.
We will have our annual meeting to elect our Board, give out some raffle prizes, and here from our guest speakers. This year we welcome new City Manager Sam Sanders and Police Chief Michael Kochis. Mr. Sanders will update us on his new position and the many stalled projects to improve our neighborhood. Chief Kochis will give us an update on the staffing shortage at the Police Department and how he is trying to improve community relations.
