240 Stribling Update from City

To interested parties,

I am sending this email as a courtesy to parties interested in the proposed development at 240 Stribling Avenue (240 Stribling PUD).  The most recent plan submitted (attached here and here) has been reviewed by the City’s Public Works department and the road layout, as presented, would reasonably accommodate City standard roads (full engineering review would happen at site plan submission).  This is not an endorsement of the project from staff, but this was a step that applicant needed to complete prior to moving the proposed rezoning to Planning Commission for a Public Hearing.

I am anticipating the rezoning request will be on the Planning Commission’s September 14th agenda for a Public Hearing.  A formal letter (and an email from me) will be mailed out at the end of August if this date is confirmed.  This email is just a heads up that the Public Hearing is approaching and the public will have an opportunity to participate in the Public Hearing.  I know City Council will be having a discussion tonight (August 2, 2021 item 10 on the agenda) regarding reconstitution of services for City government operations (basically if future meeting, such as Planning Commission and City Council will continue to be completely on Zoom or will have some in person aspect).  I do not think they will make a change at this meeting, but they could at their August 23rd meeting.  I will keep everyone updated on how this could impact a Public Hearing for 240 Stribling.  Regardless of how City Council moves forward, anyone who wishes will have an avenue to voice their opinion on this project.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
