Cleveland Avenue Litter Pickup – The Fry’s Spring Neighborhood Association has taken on Cleveland Avenue under the Adopt-a-Street program and periodically we ask for volunteers to help pick up roadside litter. The next litter removal is scheduled for Saturday, 8 September, 9:00 AM. Please join us! We will meet at the upper, west end of Cleveland, at the bus stop. Volunteers will be given trash bags, rubber gloves, and an orange safety vest. With a few as four people, we can make Cleveland shine in under an hour. And with a few more folks, we might even be able to get JPA Extended looking good, too, and in the process, help out the good neighbor who adopted that street.
2018 Charlottesville Veteran & Community Job Fair – The 2018 Charlottesville Veteran & Community Job Fair will be will be held on Wednesday, September 12th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Jefferson School City Center Carver Recreation Center in downtown Charlottesville (233 4th St. NW, Charlottesville, VA 22903). Charlottesville Triathlon returns to Fry’s Spring – the Charlottesville Sprint Triathlon, Duathlon and 5K Run will be held on September 23rd at the Fry’s Spring Beach Club.
